Jeremy Lane (groin) fails physical, to remain with Seattle

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane failed his post-trade physical with the Houston Texans and, as a result, will remain with the team.

What It Means:

Earlier today, Lane was traded to the Texans in exchange for tackle Duane Brown, but, according to the Houston Chronicle's John McClain, he failed his physical. That means that the Seahawks will send a third-round pick to Houston, in addition to a 2019 second-rounder. The Seahawks retain Lane while gaining Brown and a fifth-round pick in 2018. When he returns from his groin injury, the 27-year-old will serve as the team's fourth corner.

Our models project Lane for 32.7 tackles, 5.2 passes defensed and 1.6 interceptions over the remainder of the 2017 season.
