Rashard Robinson traded to Jets from 49ers
The New York Jets acquired defensive back Rashard Robinson from the San Francisco 49ers.
A 2016 fourth-round pick, Robinson has graded out as one of Pro Football Focus' worst cornerbacks in the NFL this season while making seven-of-eight starts for the 49ers before being benched in Week 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles. He should provide secondary depth for a Jets team that actually has something to play for this season.
Robinson recorded 27 tackles (20 solo) with 7 pass deflections, 1 interception, and 1 forced fumble for San Francisco this season. He joins a Jets team that ranks 24th in the NFL in terms of schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play.
