Report: Golden Tate will likely sit out Week 8 for Lions
Detroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate (shoulder) is "expected to miss" Week 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to MLive's Kyle Meinke.
The Lions signed Jace Billingsley off their practice squad as insurance for however long they'll be without Tate, which appears to be at least Week 8. The Lions will have to also lean more on Marvin Jones and Theo Riddick while Tate is out.
Through six games this season, Tate has caught 36-of-47 targets for 363 yards and 2 touchdowns.
