Panthers' Devin Funchess cools down with 36 receiving yards in Week 6
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Devin Funchess caught 3 passes on 9 targets for 36 yards in a Week 6 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night.
Funchess finished third on the team in targets, but the volume was not a concern as it still matched his second-highest total for the season. The third-year wideout has seen at least 7 targets in five consecutive weeks. That sort of workload should continue in Week 7 against the Chicago Bears.
Funchess scored 5.1 FanDuel points in Week 6 after our models projected him for 10.2. Per numberFire Live, he also finished with 4.35 Reception Net Expected Points, meaning a league average wide receiver would have scored 4.35 fewer points than Funchess did if put in similar situations.
