Adrian Peterson listed as top back on Cardinals' depth chart
Arizona Cardinals running back Adrian Peterson is atop the team's initial post-trade depth chart, according to AZCardinals.com's Darren Urban.
Earlier on Tuesday, the New Orleans Saints shipped the veteran running back to the Cardinals in exchange for a conditional 2018 sixth-round pick. The team then released Chris Johnson, which suggested that Peterson would get most of the early-down carries, and that's just been confirmed by the team's official pecking order. Meanwhile, Andre Ellington and Kerwynn Williams will continue to play second- and third-fiddle for Arizona.
In his debut this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, we project Peterson for 48.8 total yards, 0.12 touchdowns and 6.4 FanDuel points on 13.0 touches. He costs $5,000 in Week 6.
