Texans' J.J. Watt has a tibial plateau fracture, out for season
Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt has been diagnosed with a tibial plateau fracture, which will sideline him for the rest of the season according to NFL.com's Ian Rapaport.
This is a crushing blow for Watt, who missed considerable time last season as well with a back problems. Despite not recording a sack this year he remained one of the best defensive players in the game. The Texans' defense played well without Watt in 2016, but his loss undoubtedly lowers the team's defensive upside.
Watt finished the 2017 regular season with 14 total tackles.
