Giants' Paul Perkins (ribs) ruled out for Week 5 against the Chargers
New York Giants running back Paul Perkins will not play in Sunday's game, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan.
Perkins has really struggled to start off the year and his absence will only open time for Wayne Gallman to prove what he has in the Giants running game. Orleans Darkwa and Shane Vereen might also see an extra carry or two in Week 5.
With just 61 yards on 32 carries, Perkins is projected for 306.2 yards and 1.55 rushing scores on 82.8 rushes the rest of the season.
