Lions' Ameer Abdullah sets new career high with 86 rushing yards
Detroit Lions running back Ameer Abdullah rushed 17 times for 86 yards in a Week 2 Monday night victory over the New York Giants.
The 86 yards were a career-best, and Abdullah likely would have had gone for 100 had he not came up limping and grabbing his ankle late in the fourth quarter. The 2015 second-round pick logged 29-of-62 snaps and dominated all the rushing work in Detroit's backfield for the second consecutive week. He'll carry some intriguing fantasy upside into a Week 3 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons in what has plenty of shootout potential.
numberFire's models project Abdullah to score 11.1 FanDuel points at a cost of $6,100 in Week 3. He's pegged for 55.4 rushing yards and 21.2 receiving yards with 0.39 touchdowns versus the Falcons, making him the RB21 in our weekly fantasy rankings.
