Browns' Corey Coleman (broken hand) needs surgery, out indefinitely

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Corey Coleman's broken right hand will require surgery, and he is out indefinitely.

What It Means:

It's the same hand that cost Coleman six games in his rookie season, but he didn't go under the knife for that break, so it remains to be seen how the procedure will impact his return time. NFL.com says the second-year wideout will be on the shelf for 6-8 weeks. Rashard Higgins is expected to take over as the Browns' number-one receiver after leading the team in Week 2.

Coleman currently ranks 15th in the NFL in Receiving Net Expected Points (NEP) at 7.30. With an NEP/Target of 1.22, he ranks tied for 3rd among receivers with at least 5 catches in 2017.
