Matt Ryan turns in another efficient outing as Falcons defeat Green Bay

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan completed 19-of-28 passes for 252 yards and a touchdown on Sunday Night Football in a Week 2 victory over the Green Bay Packers.

What It Means:

With the Falcons taking a commanding early lead on Sunday, Ryan wasn't asked to do much throughout the contest, but he did connect with Tevin Coleman on a check-down score at the goal-line. The league's reigning MVP is now 40-for-58 (69.0 percent) on pass attempts this season. He will be a strong QB1 play in Week 3 against the Detroit Lions.

Ryan finished with 10.83 Net Expected Points, per numberFire Live, meaning a league average quarterback would have scored 10.83 fewer points than he did if put in similar situations. His 14.9 FanDuel points in Week 2 wasn't quite what our models expected (22.3).
