Bengals fire offensive coordinator Ken Zampese
The Cincinnati Bengals have fired offensive coordinator Ken Zampese, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Zampese is out in Cincinnati. Becoming the first team since 1939 to put up zero touchdowns in back-to-back home games to start the year must have done it for Bengals brass. Quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor will take over as the offensive coordinator moving forward. He has been attributed for Dalton's success last season and will look to get the Red Rifle back on track starting in Week 3.
Lazor was previously the offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins. In that role, he helped quarterback Ryan Tannehill throw for 4,045 yards and 27 touchdowns in 2014 while also leading the rushing attack to a 4.7 yard-per-carry average, ranking second in the NFL in that category.
