Bengals' A.J. Green: 'I want the ball'

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green was limited to five catches and 67 yards on eight targets Thursday night against the Houston Texans.

What It Means:

A wide majority of Green's yardage came on one 50-yard catch as Andy Dalton chucked it up into a trio of Texans defensive backs. Dalton's play has been a big reason for Green's slow start. He has just 10 catches and 141 yards in two games to date and there hasn't been anything positive to speak up for the Bengals offense. Speaking after the loss, Green displayed his frustration's by saying that the team needs to get the ball to its playmakers and that he needs to have the ball in his hands more.

Green, a top-5 NFL wideout, is projected for 89.5 catches, 1,277.2 yards and 9.78 touchdowns on 141.9 targets the rest of the year. He will face the Green Bay Packers in Week 3.
