Buccaneers' Cameron Brate remains in line for primary pass-catching role

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate is expected to remain the team's primary pass-catching tight end for the near future.

What It Means:

The Buccaneers drafted Alabama product O.J. Howard in the first round of this year's draft, signaling that the younger man is clearly the future of the position for this franchise. However, with Howard's skill as a blocker and Brate's talent for receiving still present, they will continue to use them in at best a timeshare of sorts.

Our models project Brate for 34.6 receiving yards and 0.4 receiving touchdowns on 2.7 catches in his next game, Week 2 against the Chicago Bears.
