Chargers' Antonio Gates is not focused on the touchdown record
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Antonio Gates told reporters the breaking the record for most touchdowns all-time by a tight end is 'not my focus at all.'
Gates comes into 2017 tied with Tony Gonzalez for the tight end touchdown record and while the rest of the world is focused on when the record will fall, the 37-year-old is not focused on when he will catch touchdown number 112. He told the Chargers' team site, "... it really isn't anything I'm thinking of. I'm not going out there thinking I need to do something extra in the red zone. I'm still myself."
Our models project Gates for a quiet Week 1 with 2.8 catches, 32.0 yards, and 0.2 touchdowns for 5.6 FanDuel points versus the Denver Broncos.
