Bengals' John Ross (knee) expected to miss "a couple weeks"
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver John Ross is expected to miss "a couple weeks" with a sprained left knee, according to Bengals.com's Geoff Hobson.
The 21-year-old rookie left Thursday's preseason finale after hauling in one ball for six yards and taking an end-around for 25 yards. He was as fast as advertised, but even though it's not a serious injury Ross will miss crucial time early on this season. He might make a couple big plays here or there, but it looks like Ross will fall behind Tyler Boyd and Brandon LaFell (not to mention Tyler Eifert) for secondary receptions behind A.J. Green.
numberFire's algorithms project Ross for 37.9 catches, 475.1 yards and 2.0 touchdowns in his rookie year with the Bengals. That would make him WR76 by season's end, which represents an undraftable commodity in most fantasy leagues.
