Joe Haden signs with Steelers for 3 years, $27 million
The Pittsburgh Steelers signed defensive back Joe Haden, formerly of the Cleveland Browns, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The deal is said to be worth $27 million for three years. Schefter says there were bigger deals on the table, but Haden wanted to be a Steeler. Ross Cockrell and 2016 first-round pick Artie Burns are currently the top two corners on the Steelers' depth chart.
In 13 games for Cleveland last season, Haden racked up 45 tackles, 11 pass defenses, and 3 interceptions. As a team, the Steelers finished 21st in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play.
