Joe Haden

Joe Haden expected to receive interest from Saints, Chiefs

The New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs are two teams expected to have "strong interest" in free agent defensive back Joe Haden, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.

What It Means:

The Dallas Cowboys, Indianapolis Colts, New York Giants, and Pittsburgh Steelers have also been mentioned as possible fits. Although he's not the elite corner he once was, Haden would provide an upgrade over Phillip Gaines as the Chiefs' second defensive back opposite All-Pro Marcus Peters. The 7th overall pick from the 2010 NFL Draft, Haden turned 28 in April.

The Chiefs finished 4th in the NFL last season in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play. The Saints ranked 30th in the same metric.
