Ravens' Benjamin Watson says achilles rehab was toughest of his career
Baltimore Ravens tight end Benjamin Watson said his achilles injury was the, "toughest injury I’ve been through. I’ve been through a number of them, I’ve had a number of surgeries, and it’s the toughest one just because that tendon is such a weight-bearing tendon. Your explosion depends upon it."
Watson agreed to take a pay cut to stay in Baltimore after his surgery. He went from a base salary of $3 million to $1.25 million, with only $750,000 guaranteed. He looks likely to make the final 53-man roster, but entering his 14th NFL season, Watson is not currently on the fantasy radar while Crockett Gilmore is healthy, especially coming off major surgery as a 36-year old.
Our models project Watson for 309.8 yards and 1.9 touchdowns on 26.1 catches. He is numberFire's 33rd-ranked fantasy tight end for 2017.
