Sterling Shepard disappoints in Monday's preseason loss for New York
New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard caught just 3-of-5 targets for 9 yards while fumbling once in Monday's preseason game.
Shepard earned four of his targets after Odell Beckham was forced to leave the game with an ankle injury. With Brandon Marshall banged up as well, Shepard will be in line for more looks in the third preseason game this Saturday, despite his poor performance. The second-year wideout ranks third on the receiving depth chart as the Giants' slot receiver entering the 2017 season.
Shepard is projected for 59.3 catches, 688.5 yards, and 4.6 touchdowns in 2017, making him our 53rd-ranked wide receiver in standard leagues.
