Maxx Williams looks explosive in Ravens' second preseason game

Baltimore Ravens tight end Maxx Williams caught 2-of-3 targets for 48 yards in Thursday's second preseason game.

What It Means:

Williams looked explosive on his 40-yard catch-and-run. The former second-round pick has struggled to contribute early, but has received the support of head coach John Harbaugh. With not much at the position besides 36-year-old Ben Watson, Williams will have the opportunity to be the starting tight end if he continues to make big plays.

Our models still project Williams as the second-most valuable tight end in Baltimore, with 255 receiving yards and 2.15 touchdowns on 24 catches. This is good for a TE38 ranking.
