Colts waive injured running back Dan Herron
The Indianappolis Colts have waived injured running back Dan Herron.
What It Means:
Herron suffered a shoulder injury in the Colts' final preseason game, and if he clears waivers he will land on the injured reserve.
Herron's -0.03 Rushing Net Expected Points per carry ranked 25th out of the 60 backs that recorded at least 75 carries in 2014. The loss of Herron means that rookie Josh Robinson will likely be the second running back on the Colts' depth chart.
