Devonta Freeman (concussion) could return soon for Falcons
Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman (concussion) could return soon, head coach Dan Quinn said.
Freeman was placed in the concussion protocol early this week. He'll be evaluated over "the next couple days" before returning to practice. Freeman is out for the second preseason game, but his Week 1 status isn't in doubt.
Freeman's Rush NEP of 22.9 ranked fourth among all running backs in 2016, as he finished as RB6 in fantasy football. This year, numberFire's models have him as fantasy's RB5 as he looks to have another great season in the Falcons' high-powered offense.
