Many teams trying to lure Calvin Johnson out of retirement
"At least a half-dozen teams" have tried to lure retired wide receiver Calvin Johnson out of retirement, but that he hasn't entertained the possibility, Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman reports.
Per Freeman, some of the attempts have been "fairly fierce." Johnson has been making the camp rounds this summer, notably snubbing the Detroit Lions, with whom he still has bad blood, but who hold his player rights. Johnson is only 32 years old in September.
Among wideouts with at least 80 targets, Johnson ended 2015 – his final season – ranked 26th in Reception Net Expected Points (NEP).
