Tom Savage clearly ahead of Deshaun Watson at Texans' camp
Houston Texans quarterback Tom Savage is "clearly" ahead of rookie Deshaun Watson through two weeks of camp, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The Chronicle's John McClain says Savage "has been terrific" in practice, showing an ability to "make every throw," is "respected by teammates," and "knows this offense" better than the rookie. Savage remains the tentative favorite to start Week 1, but he shouldn't last long.
Our models project Savage for 325 passing attempts, good for 2,061 passing yards, 11.84 touchdowns, and 9.57 interceptions. That's just our 32nd-best fantasy quarterback this year, and he has a very tenuous hold on the gig.
