Panthers' Devin Funchess (hamstring) returns to practice Tuesday
Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Devin Funchess (hamstring) returned to practice Tuesday after tweaking his hamstring on Monday.
Fortunately the injury on Monday was not serious. Funchess is expected to play in the Panthers' preseason finale on Thursday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is slotted atop the depth chart at wide receiver after the season-ending knee injury to Kelvin Benjamin.
The Panthers ranked 16th in our schedule-adjusted Passing Net Expected Points metric last season. Our algorithms project Funchess to finish the year with 61 receptions, 770 receiving yards, and 5 touchdowns.
