Washington extends franchise LT Williams at 5-years, $66M
Washington Redskins signed left tackle Trent Williams to a five-year, $66 million extension.
The deal also contains a whopping $43.25 million guaranteed. The average $13.2 million that Williams will make annually puts him well ahead of the pack as the highest paid left tackle in the league.
A three-time Pro Bowler, this deal will lock up Williams through the 2020 season. He has been the one consistently quality piece of this offensive line since being drafted in 2010. New starting quarterback Kirk Cousins must be thrilled that his blindside protector will be happy and ready to play.
