Bills' Sammy Watkins (glute) out for third preseason game
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins (glute) is not expected to play in the team's third preseason game.
Watkins has recorded a total of one catch for six yards this preseason. The quarterback uncertainty in Buffalo will likely limit Watkins' fantasy ceiling this year. He is still expected to be fully ready for the season opener against the Indianapolis Colts.
The Bills ranked 14th in our schedule-adjusted Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) metric last season. Watkins ranked 19th out of 40 wide receivers with at least 100 targets with a 0.70 Reception NEP per target last season. Our algorithms project Watkins to finish the year with 75 receptions, 1,093 receiving yards, and six receiving touchdowns, as our 17th-ranked fantasy wide receiver.
