Eagles extend Jason Peters through 2019
Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jason Peters has signed a one-year extension through the year 2019.
At 35, Peters was looking for some financial security as he headed toward his final years in the league. He is now due $32.5 million, of which $15.5 million is guaranteed, over the next three seasons in Philly. Peters will likely retire an Eagle when his contract is through.
According to Football Outsiders, Philadelphia led the league by running 24% of their rush plays off left end this season. You have to believe Peters' efforts have a lot -- if not everything -- to do with that.
