Rams playing Greg Robinson at second-team right tackle

Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Greg Robinson was working as the second-team right tackle during Tuesday's practice.

What It Means:

For a second overall pick, Robinson busted hard at left tackle in 2016. "I made a few mistakes that put me down," Robinson said. "But.... I try my best to come out every day and redeem myself." Head coach Sean McVay noted Robinson "has shown some good signs" and there is an "adjustment period" when moving from the left to the right. Even if this demotion is not permanent, Robinson is clearly on thin ice.

The Rams' ground game last year generated -0.08 opponent-adjusted Rushing Net Expected Points per attempt -- the second-worst rate in the league. If the Rams' backfield was one player, their 34.7 percent Rushing Success Rate (the percent of plays gaining positive value) would have been the fifth-worst among 42 runners with at least 100 carries.
