Kenny Golladay impressing at Lions' OTAs
Detroit Lions rookie wide receiver Kenny Golladay has been "very good" during the two open OTAs to the media, according to Tim Twentyman of the official teamwebsite.
"He has good hands and has shown to have a knack for getting open," Twentyman wrote. "He can also go up and get the 50/50 balls. I have yet to see a ball hit the ground when thrown Golladay’s way through two open OTA practices." A size-speed marvel at 6'4", 213 pounds with 4.5-flat speed, Golladay is already competing for starting duties and could threaten veterans Marvin Jones and Golden Tate in due time.
Golladay totaled 2,285 receiving yards on 160 catches (14.3 yards per reception) and 18 touchdowns at Northern Illinois. Marvin Jones led the Lions' receivers last year with 0.78 Reception Net Expected Points per target -- the 14th-most among the 68 receivers with at least 75 targets in 2016.
