Jared Goff picking up Rams' new offense quickly
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff has picked up the new offense "surprisingly fast," offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur said.
What It Means:
"He wants to be great," LaFleur said. "He’s doing everything that we’ve asked him to do, and then some. He’s working hard every day. I think he’s getting better every day." Goff was put in a terrible position last year with a lame-duck coaching staff behind a terrible offensive line. With head coach Sean McVay now running the show, Goff should take a step forward as a sophomore.
Among the 39 quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs in 2016, Goff's -0.28 Passing Net Expected Points per drop back ranked last.
