Oakland takes a risk on Gareon Conley at 24
The Oakland Raiders selected Ohio State corner Gareon Conley with the 24th pick of the 2017 NFL draft.
Conley, originally projected as a first-rounder, was expected to fall significantly in the draft as a result of accusations of sexual assault. Oakland has decided that isn't enough of a red flag to overshadow his being good at football, and so he didn't end up falling far.
Conley finished 2016 with 26 tackles, 4 interceptions and 8 pass defenses.
