Browns select Myles Garrett with the first overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft
The Cleveland Browns selected Texas A&M Aggies defensive lineman Myles Garrett with the first overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.
No real surprise here, despite rumors of quarterback Mitchell Trubisky having a chance of being the top pick in the draft. Instead, the Browns decided to shore up a defense that ranked 31st in yards allowed last season. Garrett projects as one of the best pass-rushing prospects in the draft.
Garrett racked up 31 sacks in 34 career games with the Aggies while the Browns ranked 31st in the NFL with just 26 sacks in 2016.
