Patriots may be only landing spot for Darrelle Revis
Free agent defensive back Darrelle Revis signing with the New England Patriots is becoming "increasing likely," according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
Per "numerous league sources," La Canfora reports Revis really doesn't have any other options. This comes four days after the Boston Globe said not to "discount" the possibility of Revis returning to New England, but it also contradicts The Ringer's Mike Lombardi, a former Patriots employee and known confidant of head coach Bill Belichick, who previously described the possibility of a reunion as "slim and slimmer." It's worth pointing out that Revis has yet to schedule a visit with his prior employer.
In no small part to Revis, the New York Jets' secondary ranked third-worst last season in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play. The Patriots ranked 11th in the same metric.
