Cardinals might use Andre Ellington more at wide receiver
Arizona Cardinals recently re-signed Andre Ellington will be used "more at wide receiver than running back," according to The Arizona Republic.
Ellington has just 27 receptions over the past two seasons (26 games), but he's able to create mismatches in the open field coming out of the slot. The drawback is that Ellington is only 5-foot-9. Look for the Cardinals to add a veteran back to play behind David Johnson.
Ellington earned 0.22 Reception Net Expected Points per target last season (19 targets), which would have ranked eighth-lowest among the 32 running backs to see 40 or more targets last season.
