Eagles bring in Torrey Smith for wide receiver help

The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to terms with wide receiver Torrey Smith, formerly of the San Francisco 49ers, on a three-year, $15 million contract.

What It Means:

Smith will take over as the deep threat for Carson Wentz and the Eagles, and his fantasy value should fare better than it did in San Francisco with the 49ers last year. He's likely set up for WR4 production in Philadelphia, but look for them to bring in another playmaker at wideout.

Among the 95 receivers with at least 45 targets last season, Smith ranked fifth-worst in Reception Net Expected Points per target.
