Alshon Jeffery has been offered $13 million per year from Bears
The Chicago Bears are believed to have offered free agent wide receiver Alshon Jeffery $13 million per year, reports Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.
Jeffery was originally expected to see about $14-15 million on the open market, but perhaps he's not in as high demand as some were led to believe. Even then, $13 million annually would tie Jeffery with T.Y. Hilton for sixth-highest paid wide receiver in the NFL. It sounds like he'll be back with the Bears as Mike Glennon's number-one option in 2017.
Jeffery ranked 19th in Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per target among the 60 receivers to see at least 80 targets last season.
