Kirk Cousins absolutely does not want to remain in Washington
Washington franchise player Kirk Cousins wants "no part" of the franchise, and would like to be with the San Francisco 49ers, NFL Network reporter Mike Silver said.
As the sides fail to make anything resembling progress in long-term talks, the Cousins-to-49ers rumors refuse to die. Not even San Francisco's Wednesday signing of Brian Hoyer has slowed the talk. The well seems poisoned enough to no longer be drinkable for Cousins in the nation's capital. 2017 is threatening to go off the rails for head coach Jay Gruden.
Cousins earned the sixth-most Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back among the 39 quarterbacks to drop back at least 100 times in 2016.
