Dontari Poe considered a 'top target' for Washington
Kansas City Chiefs impending free agent defensive lineman Dontari Poe is a "top target" for the Washington Redskins, reports Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
What It Means:
Washington is preparing to lose versatile defensive end Chris Baker to free agency, pushing Poe towards the top of the priority list. He's not exactly an elite nose tackle in the NFL, but the 6'3", 346-pound monster would definitely provide an upgrade for Washington's defensive front.
The Chiefs finished 10th in opponent-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points allowed per play last season with Poe as the anchor.
