Saints could be looking to trade Brandin Cooks
The New Orleans Saints are discussing a trade involving wide receiver Brandin Cooks with both the Tennessee Titans and the Philadelphia Eagles according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
What It Means:
With the emergence of Michael Thomas, the Saints can afford to shop Cooks and it's possible a deal gets done. However, it's a bit surprising because Sean Payton recently said he expects Cooks to return in 2017. Cooks still has two years left on his deal assuming his 5th year option is picked up. It might take a first round pick for the Saints to part ways with their receiver.
Among receivers with at least 100 targets in 2016, Cooks ranked tied for 2nd with 0.84 Reception Net Expected Points per target.
