Steelers' Le'Veon Bell expected to avoid groin surgery

Pittsburgh Steelers impending free agent running back Le'Veon Bell hasn't scheduled offseason groin surgery, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

What It Means:

Rapoport is pointing out that if a procedure was necessary, Bell most likely would have scheduled it by now. He should be fine by training camp and the Steelers will likely use the franchise tag on him by the March 1 deadline.

Among the 54 running backs to see at least 100 carries last season, Bell finished ninth in Rushing Net Expected Points per attempt.
