Falcons' Tevin Coleman not expected to need surgery for ankle

Atlanta Falcons running back Tevin Coleman (ankle) is expected to avoid surgery.

What It Means:

Coleman was seen in a walking boot following the Super Bowl LI loss, but it doesn't sound like he suffered anything too significant. It's worth noting that Coleman also dealt with an ankle issue back in September, but he will be ready to rock and roll in 2017 after a breakout campaign.

Coleman finished 13th in Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per carry out of the 54 backs with at least 80 attempts this season.
