Texans' Brian Cushing underwent shoulder surgery two weeks ago
Houston Texans inside linebacker Brian Cushing underwent shoulder surgery two weeks ago.
Cushing hinted it was merely a clean-up operation, but he should be considered questionable for the start of the offseason program. Cushing has dealt with a dizzying array of injuries in his eight-year career, but has appeared in at least 13 games in three straight seasons despite being at age 30.
Cushing has only topped 75 total tackles four times in his career, and only once in the last five years. The Texans' defense ranked fourth this year in opponent-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play.
