Julio Jones plays through three foot injuries as Falcons advance
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones caught 9 of his 12 targets for 180 yards and two touchdowns in the NFC Championship Game victory over the Green Bay Packers.
Playing through what FOX's Jay Glazer described as three separate foot injuries, Jones dismantled the Packers' woeful secondary. The highlight was a 73-yard touchdown in the third quarter where Jones shook cornerback Ladarius Gunter off the line, beat the safety, and then stiff-armed a second tackler as he waltzed into the end zone. Jones isn't at 100 percent health, but it hasn't been a problem on the field.
Per numberFire Live, Jones created 19.06 Net Expected Points on his 12 targets in the Championship Round. This was almost as much as the Packers' top three receiving options combined.
