Vikings unsure when Teddy Bridgewater will recover from knee injury
The Minnesota Vikings aren't sure when quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will return from his knee injury, head coach Mike Zimmer admitted on ESPN.
"I don't know when Teddy will be back," he said bluntly. Bridgewater suffered a gruesome injury last summer, tearing his ACL as well as dislocating his knee. The Vikings have indicated that Sam Bradford will remain the starter even if Bridgewater is healthy for the start of next season. Both are injury-prone game managers but Bradford's arm strength and accuracy are far superior to Bridgewater's. Despite his injury, the Vikings are still expected to exercise Bridgewater's fifth-year option.
Among the 39 quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs this year, Bradford's 0.16 Passing Net Expected Points per drop back ranks 12th. He earned the right to start.
