Packers don't plan on having Jordy Nelson for Divisional Round
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson (ribs) isn't expected to play in Sunday's Divisional Round matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, based off comments from quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
"We're going to try to get this one and hopefully get him back if he can't play this week," Rodgers said. Head coach Mike McCarthy suggested Nelson could be active if he is able to participate in Saturday's walkthrough, but that's highly unlikely. Geronimo Allison will be asked to step up while Davante Adams and Randall Cobb take over as the top receiving options.
Without accounting for Nelson's expected absence, numberFire's metrics currently rank Adams as the WR4 in the Divisional Round for fantasy purposes, and we project him to catch 5 passes for 66 yards and 0.61 touchdowns.
