Ryan Tannehill (knee) 'definitely' not playing for Dolphins Sunday
Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill (knee) will not play this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, reports Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.
Tannehill "definitely" will not play, a league source tells Salguero. This confirms what was expected, and Matt Moore will make a fourth consecutive start for Miami in his first career playoff appearance. He has completed 63.2 percent of his passes -- with eight touchdowns and three interceptions -- since Tannehill went down.
Taking the combined fantasy projections for both Tannehill and Moore on Sunday would produce numberFire's fifth-ranked quarterback in the Wild Card round, which seems about right for Moore. The Steelers ranked 21st in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP allowed per play this season.
