Miami Dolphins defensive back Byron Maxwell (ankle) will not suit up for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots.
What It Means:
Maxwell has been sidelined since Week 15 with an ankle injury, and having reportedly not even been cleared to resume running yet, it's no surprise that he has been ruled out already.
The Dolphins rank 16th in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play, but will have their hands full this week against a Patriots offense that ranks third in Adjusted Passing NEP per play.
