Buccaneers sign Lavonte David to five-year extension
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed linebacker Lavonte David to a five-year, $50.25 million extension.
David has been a tackling machine registering more than 139 tackles during each of his first three seasons in the league. He is an important part of the Bucs Tampa 2 defense, and one of the top ranked fantasy defensive players in IDP leagues.
David helped the lead the Buccaneers to the second place ranking in our schedule-adjusted Defensive Rushing Net Expected Points metric last season. Our algorithms project David to finish the year with 141 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and one interception.
