C.J. Prosise won't be back for Seahawks until playoffs at best

Seattle Seahawks running back C.J. Prosise (scapula) returning for the NFL playoffs would be a "best-case scenario," confirms Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

What It Means:

Thomas Rawls will be Seattle's bellcow for the second-half, proving time is a flat circle. Seattle may add someone to the backfield, but fifth-round pick Alex Collins is the backup for now. Special-teams man Troymaine Pope is the third option on the roster. Prosise carries enormous potential, but the injuries were a trend in college at Notre Dame, and he will now finish with just six regular season games played for his rookie campaign.

Prosise earned 5.16 Net Expected Points on his three rushing attempts prior to leaving, per numberFire Live. Rawls totaled 88 yards from scrimmage on 17 touches in Week 11, earning 0.35 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) on 14 carries, as well as 2.38 Reception NEP on four targets.
